Elements of Project Team In this option, VEL Technologies provides its clients with a complete team, a hundred percent of their time dedicated to the customer. The team includes project and team leaders in the US and the development team in St. Petersburg. VEL takes care of the office setup and equipment and the team is ready to develop software according to the customer's requirements. The management of the Virtual Project Team is located in the US and is available to be working on the project from the customer's site, utilizing VEL's infrastructure to communication with and manage the development team located in VEL's development center in Russia. VEL can also arrange travel of key Russian personnel to work at customer's site when necessary during initial design phases and delivery at milestones. All these services are provided for per person, per hour fee. Since the majority of the personnel is located in Russia, where rates are much lower, the project costs decrease very substantially.
Getting Started The Virtual Project Team Option has several advantages. First, it requires very little setup, thus the customer can start it almost immediately. Second, the commitment by the customer is very limited, since VEL is carrying all personnel and infrastructure costs between projects. Finally, if the Virtual Team proved itself useful, the customer can choose to upgrade to the full Remote or Virtual Development Center and move all the people there.
